After going for the boat ride in St. Goar, Josh and I stopped in Mainz on the way home for dinner. In one of our travel books, Josh found a Mexican restaurant owned by a guy from San Antonio, TX! It’s called Mexico Lindo Restaurante y Cantina. Anyone that knows Josh knows he LOVES Mexican food, so he was so excited when he found this we had to go! The waitress spoke English and we saved 5% because we paid in US dollars instead of Euro. This is our kind of place!
We sat by a window that opens all the way, so it was almost like sitting outside. Notice the restaurant is empty, most the time they are pretty empty here in Germany. Before we sat down Josh said he could die happy if they serve chips and salsa like they do at Mexican restaurants in the states. Needless to say he was very excited when the waitress brought the chips and salsa to us!
We have never seen ice in drinks here! They are all American at this restaurant!
Just a shot of the restaurant, beyond those pillars are a few more tables and the bar.
Enjoying dinner! The food was so good, just like in the states! We really felt at home here. Too bad it is about 2 hours away or we would be eating there all the time. Or maybe it’s a good thing its far!
