We Love Our Apche Pilot

Today Jordan and I went watch Josh fly. When Josh talks about flying it is hard to believe he is actually a pilot. Its so fun to go and see him cause it makes it real. I don't know if you are supposed to take pictures, but the place they practice is right on a busy road leading to the post. We figured if you can watch them fly while driving, it would be okay to stop and take pictures.
Yes, Josh is really in there!!! He's the one in the back seat.
Here he is practicing hovering.
He's starting to take off!
And there he goes! We are so proud of him, he's a great pilot!!!

Apache Pilot

On Friday, Josh was finally able to fly the Apache helicopter! It only took a year and five months of being here, but he finally got his first flight hour in the Apache. For those of you that don't know much about the Army's flight school, everyone starts flying a TH-67 then they learn to fly one of the military helicopter. Of course Josh picked to fly the Apache.
He started flying the TH-67 last summer, and finished that training in January, before Jordan was born. He has been waiting since then to fly the Apache.
The first picture is of a TH-67 back in April, they had all the helicopters parked on post so everyone could some see them. The second picture is of Josh flying the TH-67 on family day last summer.
And this is the Apache!!! We took these pictures in April as well.
Josh hasn't been able to stop talking about flying, he loves every minute of it. Jordan and I are so proud of Josh following his dreams, and making it to this point!
Josh's Apache training will probably be about six months, but we will see. Its so hard to know for sure when it comes to the military!

First Teeth

Jordan's first tooth came through on Friday, Aug. 29, and his second tooth came on Sunday, Sept. 7. The teething process has been a little rough, but Jordan is starting to feel like his normal self again. They are kind of hard to see, but there are two little teeth on the bottom.

Silly Eater

We just started giving Jordan fruit puffs. I never thought it would be hard for him to learn how to get the food from his fingers to his mouth, since everything goes in his mouth anyway. He is finally getting the hang of it though, and now he loves his little snacks. Last night he missed his mouth and some how got a fruit puff stuck on his nose. What a silly little man!

Playing at the Park

We took Jordan to the park for the first time on Monday. He loved the swing! We also tried the slide, but he didn't really care for that.

Josh also tried to go down the slide, but he is a bit big for them. He got stuck on all the curves. Jordan tried the slide in the background, not the tube slide!
