We celebrated Independence Day all day on Saturday:
It started about 8 am with my parent's neighborhood breakfast. The primary (the kids at church) did a little parade, then we had a flag ceremony, then it was breakfast time. Jordan had fun playing with the kids and with the toys.
We had my dad's family over in the afternoon. Brianna (my sister) and I made a festive cake. It was our first time making a fancy cake, I think it turned out pretty well.
At 6 we went to the Sandy parade. It was Jordan's first parade, he had lots of fun. His favorite part was getting candy!
After the parade we went had a BBQ with my mom's family and went in the field across the street to watch the Sandy fireworks. Its so nice to have our own private showing without the crowds. Then we came home and had homemade ice cream, yum!!!
